The Key Features of the Reflective Practitioner Group are:

1. ONGOING LEARNING

Pursuit of a Personal Learning Journey – National College for School Leadership – e-learning courses with taught sessions from invited experts.

2.BROADEN KNOWLEDGE

Journal Club – Each meeting will include discussion on one academic publication relevant to current research outcomes.

3. REFLECTION

Development of a “Reflective (b)log” – all participants track and monitor their professional journey through the completion of a reflective log.  Each meeting will feature a key point arising from their reflections and spark personal contemplation and group discussion.

4. COLLABORATION

Working under the guidance of M-Level tutors from partner universities, participants will forge links with subject specialists through collaborative visits and participation in university events.

5.APPLICATION

Working in collaboration or individually, members work together to explore a current issue and make use of research methods to establish outcomes and developments forthwith.  This may be an issue identified through their reflective (b)log or from their analysis of peer-reviewed articles.
